One 60-day voyage circling Australia was terminated days after the death of an older woman who was left behind by the cruise liner on a remote island.

The elderly woman had been hiking on the remote island with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but separated from the party for a break. The vessel left without her and came back several hours later after the crew realised the woman was unaccounted for.

An extensive rescue mission discovered her person the subsequent day.
