Helicopter Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular California Beach
A helicopter hovering above a crowded coastal coastline suddenly started spinning out of control, eventually dropping height and plunging into a line of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Videos uploaded on the internet depict the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then falling near the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a staircase near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
